2023: Stone Sculpture Charity Exhibition

In 2023, Azure Hotel partnered with renowned stone sculptor Cai Wen-qing to host a charity stone sculpture exhibition within the hotel, using art as a bridge to spread love and hope. Cai is widely acclaimed both locally and internationally, having served as Secretary-General of the Asian Modern Sculptors Association in Taiwan, Curator-in-Chief for the "Mobile Art Gallery" of Paper Windmill's 319 Countryside Children's Art Project, and currently as an adjunct lecturer in the Department of Art and Design at National Dong Hwa University. He has frequently exhibited in international stone sculpture symposiums and won numerous awards. Through his stone sculptures, Cai seamlessly integrates modern architecture with lived human experiences, interpreting the aesthetics of life in a truly unique manner.

All proceeds from the sale of these exhibited stone sculptures were donated to Father Yves Moal to support the "Sunrise Home Construction Project." Father Yves Moal arrived in Taiwan in 1966, was assigned to the Yuli Catholic Church in 1974, and took over as head of the Andrew Intellectual Disability Center in 1999. For decades, he has cared for individuals with physical or intellectual disabilities, the homeless, and vulnerable populations across Hualien and Taitung, providing them with shelter, employment opportunities, and social integration. To create a permanent sanctuary for these individuals, Father Yves Moal launched the "Sunrise Home" fundraising initiative to build a warm haven. The exhibition raised a total of NT$575,000, all of which was donated to the "Father Yves Moal Social Service Center, Yuli Catholic Church, Hualien Diocese" to fund the construction of the Sunrise Home.

2024: Pre-owned Furniture Donation

During temporary operational suspension for post-earthquake repair works, Azure Hotel remained true to its founding mission of giving back to society. The hotel donated well-preserved, reusable pre-owned furniture to Father Yves Moal to help furnish living spaces at the Sunrise Home.

In the midst of rebuilding and restoration, we chose to extend the life and value of our resources—translating compassion into concrete action to help Sunrise Home build a safer, more comfortable living environment. This initiative represents far more than a simple distribution of materials; it is a long-term commitment of companionship to vulnerable communities, ensuring that love continues to resonate through every stage of our journey.
